About Marg Stark

Marg Stark is a writer and an author. A wife and a mom. A lover of all things coastal though she grew up landlocked in the Midwest. The mom who always cheers a little too loudly at her son's lacrosse games or the other son's musical theatre performances. A lover of organic food and thrift stores. A fierce fan of of her alma mater Mount Holyoke and a rather extreme bargain shopper.

Marg Stark's most recent project is a TV pilot script based on her book WHAT NO ONE TELLS THE BRIDE, written with director Shayne Lightner. WHAT NO ONE TELLS THE BRIDE is a perennial bestseller, still a great gift book, even 15 years after it premiered.

Marg’s magazine articles have appeared in Parents, Ladies Home Journal, Readers Digest, Prevention, and Bridal Guide among others. Funny and down-to-earth expert, Marg has offered workshops to new parents and newlywed couples. She has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV shows, including ABC’s “The View,” CBS’ “This Morning,” “The Danny Bonaduce Show,” and the “Oliver North” radio program. Published by Boston, Marg's first magazine article—about two men living and dying with AIDS—was adapted into a NBC television movie, “Roommates" starrring Eric Stoltz and Randy Quaid.

Marg graduated from Mount Holyoke College, got her masters in journalism from Northwestern University, and a lot of life lessons as the daughter of a liberal Presbyterian minister and the wife of a conservative U.S. naval officer.

In 2003, Metropolitan magazine selected her as one of San Diego’s “40 under 40” most accomplished leaders. A first-time mom at 33, Stark fell in love with her strawberry-blonde babes.

Duke and the boys continue to be the light of her life, even in the sunny climes of her home in Coronado, California.
